I Want Patience and I Want it NOW!

I read a great quote today from an unknown author; “Patience is waiting. Not passively waiting. That is laziness.
But to keep going when the going is hard and slow – that is patience.

When we don’t like our life or are anxious about specific circumstances we tend to want it dealt with yesterday.

No one likes pain in their life so it is easy to be inpatient with the process.

A great wine takes time to mature, a masterpiece isn’t created over night, a mighty redwood doesn’t grow over night so how much more do us as infinitely valuable human beings need to be patient when we are becoming the people we are created to be?

Virtue, character, stability, honor are all things that come to us as a result of going through the pressure cooker of life…

This all takes time but is well worth it.

Even when the road is hard and slow, keep going and be patient.
