Regarding Anxiety… It’s the Little Things That Matter.

In the face of significant difficult life events we all experience anxiety and fear. For most of us these challenging times cause us to reflect and re-evaluate our life, priorities, relationships and values and as a result often lead to growth and greater maturity.

However those of use who wrestle with anxiety issues don’t just experience these feelings in the most difficult of situations but practically all the time.

Getting hit with life catastrophes is like a sobering wake-up call that usually snaps us to attention regarding changes we need to make.

Regarding Anxiety… It’s the Little Things That Matter…

On the other hand, the routine of everyday life can be a subtle drone, numbing us to the importance of our countless daily thoughts, choices and actions.

When I begin to see “fruit” in my life I am not happy with and assess where it came from I will often unearth a good habit I slowly allowed to slide into a bad habit and thus the eventual “bad fruit”.

Or I will become aware of negative or self-sabotaging thoughts I gradually allowed my mind to entertain and dwell on.

Even a rock can be reshaped and worn down over time by the continual lapping of water… in the same way a seemingly harmless thought not checked can lead to the reshaping of our thoughts, beliefs, values and eventually choices.

Those who experience relentless anxiety usually don’t have only one big issue they are concerned with but rather a million different little ones.

Since regarding anxiety, it’s the little things that matter… begin today by making some “little” changes.

You will not fix everything (or likely even anything) overnight, so take the pressure off yourself and buckle up for the long haul.

Commit to making a few small changes on a regular basis and to stick with them for the duration of the journey.

Remember… regarding anxiety it’s the little things that matter so begin paying more attention to the “little things” right now.
