Anxiety is a sneaky little devil.
It can infiltrate so many aspects of our life.
Not only does it mess with our minds. emotions and feelings but it can also affect our physical bodies and health in numerous ways.
Over the next while I will be posting about various anxiety symptoms, today is about anxiety stomach problems.
Anxiety sufferers can become so accustomed to living with relentless anxiety they don’t even realize when another symptom sneaks into their body.
For years I suffered with stomach problems…
I went to doctors, specialists, acupuncturists, tried every conceivable natural stomach remedy all to no avail… no one could find any problems with my stomach.
At one point I was referred to a naturopath who told me I was emotionally stressed and the stomach problems were a result of my anxiety.
Sure enough, as I worked with her on my anxiety issues my stomach condition corrected itself.
Anxiety stomach problems can manifest in many ways but a short list of stomach anxiety symptoms is:
- Frequent gas
- Excessive belching
- Stomach discomfort
- Acid reflux
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome
- Uncomfortable feeling of fullness even if you haven’t eaten
Fortunately the medical community is becoming more aware of the effects of anxiety on our physical bodies and are making headway in more accurately diagnosing the root cause in these cases.

It’s important we are aware of the full effects of anxiety and are diligent in dealing with it so we can live our lives with the freedom and liberty we were created to.
